Maskwonicut Street Bridge construction slated to start Dec. 19

MassDOT announced that work is expected to begin on the Maskwonicut Street Bridge project in Sharon on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

The bridge, which spans Amtrak/MBTA tracks, is currently closed and is slated to reopen in 2026.

Construction work is estimated take place between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Comcast will be on site to perform overhead wire transfer.

The original completion date for the Maskwonicut Street Bridge project was August of 2024.
