The Sharon Commission on Disabilities promotes equality and inclusion in all aspects of life such as in education, employment and recreation for
people with disabilities. Commissioners work in conjunction with All Town department ensurding the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and other legislations pertaining to disability civil rights are implemented. In addition, the Commission provides information, referrals, and technical assistance to public and private entities interested in providing access to Sharon residents of all ages with disabilities.
The Commission usually meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Adult Center's Library. Public input concerning disability issues is welcome.
