MADEP Awards to Sharon Water Department

As part of National Drinking Water Week, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s (MADEP) Drinking Water Program gave two awards to the Sharon Water Department: Water Quality Compliance, which recognized the Department as one of 58 public water systems statewide for meeting regulatory compliance requirements for the past five years; and Water Conservation, which recognized the Department as one of three public water systems statewide for going above and beyond  meeting residential use requirements for the past three years by implementing water use restrictions and providing timely information to customers regarding use. While not required for the award, MADEP further recognized the Department for reducing water use for multiple years.
