Water main break causes water discoloration

A water main was damaged Friday, Oct. 13 as part of private construction activity on South Main Street at Old Post Road.
The break to the 12-inch main caused high volume flow. This created discolored water throughout the distribution system. Water discoloration should have subsided.
If you are still experiencing discolored water, please contact the Water Division at 781-784-1525 ext. 2315 so we can perform a localized spot flushing.
