Sharon Cultural Council approves funding for 37 projects

The Sharon Cultural Council saw an unprecedented number of grant applications this year, reaching an all-time high of 53 submissions.

Following a thorough review process by its 16-member committee, the council approved funding for 37 projects, allocating a total of $12,400 to support a range of cultural initiatives within the community.

Among the recipients of this year's grants are the Sharon LGBTQ+ Pride Festival scheduled in June and the Heights Elementary School for the creation of the school's mosaic. Both projects exemplify the council's dedication to fostering inclusivity and artistic expression within the town.

In addition to these projects, the Sharon Cultural Council is proud to support initiatives including Porchfest 2024, enrichment programming at the Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary, family-friendly crafting opportunities at the Fuller Craft Museum and numerous musical and theater performances.
