Help first responders help you by signing up for Community Connect

Community Connect

When first responders arrive at your home for a fire or a medical emergency, knowing how many people live there or if someone has medical issues can help save lives.

Sharon residents and business owners can provide the Fire Department with this and other critical information through Community Connect.

Community Connect is a free, secure online platform where you can share information about your family, your home and your pets. The information is made available to firefighters and paramedics when responding to a call.

“We are always looking for ways to better serve the citizens in the Town of Sharon,” Fire Chief Michael Madden said. “By providing information about your household that you feel is important for us to know about at the time of an emergency, we can ensure you and everything you care about is protected to the best of our ability,”

To create a Community Connect account go to www.communityconnect.io/info/ma-sharon. All you need is an email, phone number and address. Then you can begin entering information about your property and who lives there.

  • You can include information such as the type of residence, whether you have fire sprinklers, designated family meeting places, water and electricity service locations, if there are hazardous materials on site and more.
  • Include who is the best person to contact in case of an emergency, how many people live at the address, and if anyone has mobility issues, Alzheimer’s, autism, visual or hearing impairments or other needs which may require additional assistance.
  • Tell us about your pets as well. What pets are at your residence? You can include photos and veterinarian contact information.

You can access your account at any time to update your information and keep it current.

Data stored in Community Connect is only accessed during an emergency at your address or a large scale disaster. Your information is never used for any other purpose.
