How do I register to vote?

In person at the Town Clerk's Office during business hours. Please bring identification (Massachusetts Drivers License is preferred).

By Mail:
Mail-in registration forms are available at the Sharon Post Office and Sharon Public Library.  A copy of your identification (Drivers License) showing your Sharon address is required.

At the Registry of Motor Vehicles:
Keep your motor voter receipt until you receive confirmation from the Town Clerk's Office.  If you do not receive any confirmation, please contact the Town Clerk's Office to verify your voting status.

Deadline for Voter Registration:
Twenty (20) days prior to an election.  The Town Clerk's Office is open for extended hours on the twentieth day prior to an election from 8:30 am-8:00 pm to accept registrations on the last day to register.
Ten (10) days prior to a Special Town Meeting.  The Town Clerk's Office is open for extended hours on the tenth day prior to a Special Town Meeting from 8:30 am-8:00 pm to accept registrations.
There is no waiting period to be eligible to register to vote.  If you move, you may register to vote as soon as you move into your new home. 
If you have moved within Sharon, notify the Town Clerk's Office of your new address. If you have moved to another community, you must register to vote in this new location.
