BE SMART ABOUT IRRIGATION

Before irrigating, test your lawn to see if it needs water.  Step on a patch of grass: if it springs back, it doesn't need to be watered,  A lawn needs just 1" of water per week to stay green.   Make sure that your sprinklers are not watering the driveway, sidewalk, or street.  Irrigation runoff contributes to the pollution of local waterbodies.  For the most efficient use of water, avoid irrigating when it's windy.

Your cooperation in following Sharon's outdoor water use restrictions ensures enough water for public health and fire fighting capability, and reduces the environmental impact of well-pumping.
