In January of 2019, the Sharon Police Department announced that it was our purpose to come into compliance with accreditation standards so that our department will reflect the best professional practices in police management, administration, operations and support services. A goal was, and is, for the community and the police department to take pride in their department, knowing it represents the very best in law enforcement. We are currently involved in a comprehensive review of all our policies and procedures in order to achieve accreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission.
