TOWN OF SHARON, MA REQUEST FOR BIDS
Chapter 30, Section 39M
Sealed bids for construction of the MWRA Pump Station & Water Main project for the Town of Sharon, Massachusetts, will be received at Sharon Town Hall, 90 South Main Street, Sharon, MA, Purchasing Department until 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The scope of work includes construction of an 1,100 square foot water pump station at 25 Tiot Street, and the installation of approximately 5,080 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main and appurtenances from Tiot Street through Edge Hill Road.
The Instructions to Bidders, Form of General Bid, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, Performance and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following:

Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file free of charge at www.accentblueprints.com. Copies may be obtained for a fee by completing an order online or by calling 978-362-8038 for each set. Completed orders may be picked up at the offices of Accent Printing located at 99 Chelmsford Road, North Billerica, MA 01862 (978-362-8038), from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Copies may also be shipped to prospective bidders for an additional charge to cover handling and mailing fees. All payments for printing and shipping are nonrefundable.
Every request for such interpretation or comments on the bid should be in writing (typed, not handwritten) addressed to Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., 55 Walkers Brook Drive, Suite 100 Reading, MA 01867 Attention: CSD, or sent via email to [email protected] and to be given consideration must be received at least ten working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, in accordance with Section 00200, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended.
Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
