Sharon's Net Zero Campaign

The Town of Sharon sent this letter to all residents sharing sustainability news and updates.

Community First Partnership

Sharon has been selected to participate in the 2022-2024 Community First Partnership offered by the Sponsors of Mass Save. Sharon will work with Eversource and National Grid, to provide cost-saving energy efficiency solutions to residents, small businesses, houses of worship and local nonprofits. There will be a particular emphasis on reaching renters and landlords, non-English speaking/Limited English Proficiency residents, low-to-moderate income households, and small businesses.

Participants will receive a no-cost energy assessment to identify energy-saving opportunities, such as insulation and heating and cooling equipment upgrades. Through this exciting partnership, the Mass Save Sponsors offer up to 100% off the cost of approved upgrades. Participants can also receive a variety of no-cost energy-saving products such as water saving devices and programmable thermostats.

Sharon’s program goals include:

  • 31 insulation upgrades
  • 17 high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment upgrades
  • 12 small business energy assessments

SHARON NET ZERO CAMPAIGN

Relay Power

In accordance with Sharon’s goals of being net-zero by 2050, we have entered a partnership with Relay Power to help residents take advantage of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs available to them from approved sources and vendors. Relay Power believes the best way to confront climate change is through joint community action and the adoption of clean energy and efficiency programs.

They offer residents a simple and quick way to find the best clean energy programs, share information and tools, and give communities the ability to track their progress.

To get started go to: https://relaypower.com/sharonsurvey
Take the 5-10 minute survey that matches you with the programs that you qualify for. Once you complete the survey, Relay Power will email you a customized report with details on each green solution and the next steps to get started.
