Household Hazardous Waste

Household hazardous waste includes many products in the home or garage that may cause damage to the environment, and should be disposed of separately from regular household trash.  Items included in this category include cleaners, some types of batteries, fluorescent bulbs, antifreeze, motor oil and other materials. The Sharon Department of Public Works (DPW) provides a household hazardous waste collection for Sharon residents annually. For more information on the specific date for collection this year, and items/materials accepted at the collection, click here to go to the Department of Public Works page, or call the DPW at (781) 784-1525.
