How is the lake level measured?
A staff gauge (a long ruler placed permanently in the lake) is present at the flume house, located adjacent to the Massapoag Avenue rotary. Measurements (in decimal feet) are collected visually. A measurement of 10.5 feet is equivalent to 10 feet, 6 inches.
