INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

FEBRUARY 28, 2008

At approximately 10:30 am, an officer on an assigned detail, observed a blue mini van traveling toward his detail and almost hitting a Verizon truck. All attempts to stop the vehicle were unsuccessful. Moments later another officer observed the same vehicle parked at the train station. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Marcia Parker, of Sharon. Ms. Parker at the time of the encounter was apparently asleep in her vehicle. Upon further investigation by the officers on scene, they learned that Ms. Parker was under the influence of alcohol, and subsequently arrested. An inventory of the vehicle was conducted. Found in the vehicle was 2 bottles of vodka, cranberry juice, and a blue plastic mug containing alcohol. Ms. Parker was charged with the following offenses:

CH. 90-24               Operating a MV under the influence of alcohol (2nd offense).
CH. 90-24               Operating a MV reckless to endanger.
CH. 90-24I              Open container of alcohol in MV.

FEBRUARY 5, 2008

At approximately 8:20 pm, a gray Jeep Cherokee was stopped in the area of South Main Street and Mark Road for traveling at a high rate of speed (58 MPH in a 35 MPH ZONE). It was learned that the operator of the vehicle, Ronald Giorgio, a Sharon resident, was operating a motor vehicle unlicensed. Mr. Giorgio will be facing the following charges:

CH. 90-18               Speeding (58 MPH in a POSTED 35 MPH zone).
CH. 90-10               Operating a MV Unlicensed.

JANUARY 1, 2008

At approximately 1 am on New Years' Day a report came in regarding a motor vehicle off the road and on the grass of Temple Israel. Officers arrived on scene and found 3 male individuals in a black Ford Escape in the driveway of Temple Israel. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the 3 individuals had come from a party on Massapoag Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, Allen J. Agenor, of Canton, MA was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (OUI). During the incident, 2 cases of beer and a small bottle of vodka were found in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Mr. Agenor was charged with the following:

CH. 90-24               Operating a MV under the influence of alcohol.
CH. 90-24               Operating a MV reckless to endanger.
CH. 90-24I              Open container of alcohol in MV.
