Inclusionary Zoning By-Law
Paul Lauenstein contacted Mary Tobin suggesting that the Planning Board is not going forward with Inclusionary Zoning due to Brickstone’s insistence on an exception. Mary will follow up with Planning Board member, Susan Price.
Wilber School- Jane Desberg will follow up on status.
Sharon Commons- Although Sharon Commons was on the BOS agenda both this week and last, the proponents cancelled and did not appear. Bob Shelmerdine was also invited to attend this evening’s SHP meeting.
9 Glenview- Jane Desberg spoke to Ben Puritz about contacting the tenants so that we can move forward with the lottery. Mr. Puritz indicated that a letter terminating their tenancy would be sent. Susan Saunders will check on exactly what is in the lease.
Jane Desberg will call Eileen in the Town’s Accounting office to see if rents have been paid. Several items including pumping the septic system and power washing the siding will need to be done before the house is ready for sale.
Jane Desberg expressed interest in having the SHP apply for CPA money to fund a mortgage subsidy program. She will look into the mechanics of this type of program and report next meeting. The deadline for CPA applications for the next round of funding is thought to be January 1, 2009. The CPA requires setting aside 10% of the funds collected yearly for affordable housing. No CPA money has been used for affordable housing projects in the past two years. Jane will look into how much money has accumulated in the affordable housing account.
The October 10, 2008 Sharon Advocate has notices for a Planning Board Public Hearing concerning the Sharon Commons 40R. This hearing is scheduled for October 23, 2008.
Eli Houser, Planning Board Chair, will be coming to the next SHP meeting to talk about the possible use of the Brickstone affordable housing funds for the Town center septic project. This meeting will be held on November 4th due to the November 11th holiday.
Meeting adjourned at 8:55 PM
