MINUTES OF MEETING
SHARON BOARD OF HEALTH
July 26, 2010
A meeting of the Sharon Board of Health was held on Monday, July 26, 2010, beginning at 7:30PM at the Sharon Town Office Building. In attendance were Andy Stead, Chair; Stanley Rosen, Vice-Chair; Suzi Peck; Jay Schwab, and Ed Welch. Also present were Jim Andrews, Health Agent for Engineering.
Variance Hearing: 75A B C Beach Street
Present were owner Nelson Brenner and abutter Richard Kramer. Jim Miller, P.E., provided presentation of proposed variance. There are three dwellings on the property. Jim Miller reviewed that owner Nelson Brenner and abutter Richard Kramer were proposing changes to the proposal...relative to the drip field. There would still be one tank for the 3 houses...but the leach field might need to be split. Mr. Miller was present to review the proposal in general....and to request a continuance. Discussion of the revised proposal took place.
Richard Kramer spoke in support of the 3' sideline variance to the town property line that would be requested under the revised proposal. He indicated this would allow moving the dripfield away from the lake....as well as moving it away from Mr. Kramer’s property. The hearing was continued to Monday August 9th at 8 PM.

VOTED: (Stead/Peck) Stead, Peck, Welch, and Schwab voted in the affirmative; Rosen abstained...to approve the minutes of the meeting of July 12, 2010, as amended.
Meeting Dates
The Board agreed on the following meeting dates for September through December 2010. September 13 and 27; October 18; November 1 and 22; December 13.
Suzi Peck suggested testing to determine whether the bacteria at the Community Center Beach are human or animal..via DNA sampling.. She also raised issue re appropriate signage. Both issues are to be be discussed with Chris Huskey, director of bathing beaches program.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM.
