The Farnham Road composting area is closed for the season. It will reopen in the Spring.
CURBSIDE HOUSEHOLD TRASH COLLECTION
Household trash must not be put at the curb prior to Noon on the day before your scheduled household trash collection day.
There will be NO Spring curbside leaf collection.
In accordance with the Town of Sharon By-Laws, Article 26, Section 5A, as well as language in the solid waste collection contract, Appendix C, Section 3.1: "No solid waste can or container, other than a stationary dumpster, shall exceed sixty pounds gross loaded weight or thirty-two gallons in size."
Sharon Resident Trash Collection Fee:
Allied Waste Services will be sending out their new billing prior to October 1 for the upcoming second quarter. The bill amount is going to be $56.60 per quarter. This reflects the retroactive $3.25 increase for the first quarter, July 1st through December 31st. The third and subsequent quarter bills will be for the regular fee in the amount of $53.25 per quarter.
Some residents will have a credit from the 1st quarter billing error. These residents should pay only the balance due as noted on their bill.
