The Health Department reminds residents that rubbish left out for collection must be placed in either securely tied plastic bags or, preferably, covered trash cans. Uncovered trash cans, particularly at this time of year, quickly become a health nuisance, attracting rodents and other animals. Trash may not be left out prior to noon on the day before scheduled pickup.
Also....to help fight mosquitoes, please empty standing water in old tires, buckets, plastic covers, toys, and anywhere else.
