Sharon Awarded Recycling Barrels in Massachusetts DEP Grant
The Sharon Department of Public Works is pleased to announce the installation of four recycling barrels on Town athletic fields. The barrels were awarded to the Town of Sharon through a Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Waste Reduction Grant. The barrels are currently located at Deborah Sampson Park and Memorial Beach. They are for the collection of #1 and #2 disposable plastic bottles, Gatorade and Powerade bottles, soda bottles and other drinks. When recycling, empty all remaining liquid before placing containers in the barrels. Please only place #1 and #2 plastic containers in these barrels to minimize any sorting. Trash barrels are located beside all the new recycling barrels for other trash.
