Deer ticks can carry Lyme Disease...so try to avoid areas where a lot of ticks are found.
The risk period for humans is highest from May to July. So take precautions when you’re outside....particularly if you’re in wooded, bushy areas. Use insect repellent with DEET; wear long pants and long sleeves; tuck pants into socks or shoes. Before you go back indoors, check yourself carefully for ticks.
