Water main repair work will detour traffic on South Main

Water main repair work will begin Monday, May 13 on South Main Street and is expected to end by Friday, May 17. Traffic will be detoured during the work.

Northbound traffic (green line on the attached map) will be detoured from South Main Street to Ames Street to Pond Street to East Chestnut Street and back to South Main Street.

Southbound traffic (red line on the attached map) will be detoured from South Main Street to East Chestnut Street to Pond Street to Ames Street and back to South Main Street. 

All motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes for the week and should expect traffic delays in the area of work and associated detour roadways. 

Work hours will be approximately between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

There will be multiple police officers in place to assist motorists.
